3 healthy treat recipes for your dog

Whether it’s a loving look under the table or during an aperitif, it’s hard to resist giving your dog a little something extra; a treat when you get home from work, on public holidays, for a snack… Treats allow you to share a moment together and are also very useful when it comes to training, as they help the dog understand that he will receive a treat when he does things right.

However, it’s important not to overfeed your dog. Your dog may be at risk of gaining weight  in a short space of time, which can be very unhealthy for him. Don’t hesitate to consult this article to learn more. Luckily, with a healthy diet and appropriate physical activity, you don’t have to sacrifice your dog’s pleasure.

What treats should I choose?

Ideally, it is advisable to opt for small, low-fat treats that are adapted to your dog’s needs, so that you can reward your dog more often. It is also possible to offer your pet home-made dog treats. In general, treats are made of small pieces of dried meats or vegetables

If you want to try your hand at creating your own, we have unearthed three recipes to make delicious treats for your dog.

These biscuits can be kept in the fridge for 1 week.
