However, it’s important not to overfeed your dog. Your dog may be at risk of gaining weight  in a short space of time, which can be very unhealthy for him. Don’t hesitate to consult this article to learn more. Luckily, with a healthy diet and appropriate physical activity, you don’t have to sacrifice your dog’s pleasure. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

What treats should I choose?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

Ideally, it is advisable to opt for small, low-fat treats that are adapted to your dog’s needs, so that you can reward your dog more often. It is also possible to offer your pet home-made dog treats. In general, treats are made of small pieces of dried meats or vegetables<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Chicken biscuits: perfect for muscle development.<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

 Ingredients: <\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n
  • 150g organic buckwheat flour, <\/li>
  • 1 minced chicken breast, <\/li>
  • 150ml sunflower oil, <\/li>
  • 1 egg and 80ml water.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Method: <\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n
    \n
    1. Mix the ingredients in a large bowl or blender to make a smooth, thick dough, <\/li>
    2. Roll out the dough to around 0.5mm thick and cut the dough into shapes of your choice. <\/li>
    3. Place the biscuits on greaseproof paper. <\/li>
    4. Then, put them in the oven at 180\u00b0C for around twenty minutes. <\/li>
    5. Leave them to cool and then serve to your dog. <\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n

      These biscuits can be kept in the fridge for 1 week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

      \n

      Small minty bones: for fresh breath<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
      \n

       Ingredients:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n
      \n
      • 1 cup lactose-free plain yoghurt<\/li>
      • \u00bc cup fresh parsley<\/li>
      • \u00bc cup fresh mint<\/li>
      • Silicone mould (ideally with dog bone shaped holes)<\/li>
      • Food processor<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

        Method:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n
        \n
        1. Put all ingredients in the food processor and mix until you have a smooth liquid.<\/li>
        2. Pour the liquid into the moulds, then place in the freezer for 2 hours.<\/li>
        3. Remove the frozen treats from the mould and serve cold to your pet after their meal.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n

          Tip: the yoghurt can be replaced with coconut oil or rice milk, oat milk, or coconut milk for a lighter version. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

          Delicious frozen treats: for summer days <\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
          \n

           Ingredients:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n
          \n
          • Around 1\/2 cup (125g) unsweetened strawberries, fresh or frozen<\/li>
          • Around 1\/2 cup (125g) unsweetened blueberries, fresh or frozen<\/li>
          • Around 1\/2 cup (125ml) unsweetened plain yoghurt<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n
            \n

            Method:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n
            \n
            1. Place the strawberries into ice cube moulds, filling them to around one-third of the way.<\/li>
            2. Do the same with the blueberries.<\/li>
            3. Add the yoghurt on top of the fruit.<\/li>
            4. Lightly tap the ice cube mould on the counter to remove any air bubbles<\/li>
            5. Freeze for around 24 hours<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n

              The strawberries will provide healthy vitamins for your dog. Blueberries contain antioxidants and yoghurt contains probiotics. A healthy treat for your dog! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
